Is there an insurance plan that covers psychiatric treatment?

0 votes

My husband is in need of medication for PTSD and bipolar disorder, both recently diagnosed in Singapore and before we moved to Thailand. I'd be grateful for recommendations if you have any, on companies or more specifically, plans that cater to this. He is 49 years old, American, and with no pre-existing conditions.

Hi Shawnat,

I wish I had a definitive answer. But I'd say, reach out to some psychiatrists in Thailand and see if they accept insurance, and if so, what kind. Then reach out to those insurance companies.
